High -modern diagnostic method for prostate cancer: Clinic Bad Hersfeld relies on Exactvu ultrasound device

Revolutionary diagnostic method in Klinikum

In a spectacular step, the Bad Hersfeld Clinic introduced an innovative diagnostic method for the early detection of prostate cancer. Under the expert guidance of chief physician Dr. Alexander Piotrowski is now used by the high-resolution micro ultrasound device Exactvu in the urology department of the hospital. This new technology represents significant progress in the precise diagnosis of prostate cancer and raises the Bad Hersfeld Clinic in the ranks of medical pioneers in Hesse

The purchase of the groundbreaking ultrasound device was made possible by generous funding of 180,000 euros. With the successful implementation of this modern technology, Dr. Piotrowski and his team new standards in the early cancer recognition. The Bad Hersfeld Clinic is now one of the few medical facilities in Hesse who can offer their patients this highly precise and advanced diagnostic method.

The new micro ultrasound system is characterized by a unique ultrasound probe with a frequency of 29 megahertz, which offers an unprecedented image resolution of 300 percent compared to conventional devices. This technology enables urologists to identify and analyze changes within the prostate extremely precisely. Due to this higher image quality, suspicious areas can be identified and the need for a biopsy for the exact differentiation between good and malignant changes can be determined.

The most important advantage of this modern diagnostic method is the possibility of avoiding unnecessary biopsies, which significantly reduces the burden for patients. This represents a significant improvement compared to previous diagnostic procedures and completes the extensive range of diagnostic and therapy options for the clinic.

authorized representative Sascha Sandow emphasizes the economic effects of this investment and indicates that the permanent availability of the ultrasound system noticeably optimizes the diagnostic processes. This improvement in terms of patient care and time resources is extremely attractive and underlines the clinic's willingness to innovate.

"The introduction of the Exactvu system marks a significant step forward in urology and offers our patients an even more precise and gentler examination," explains Dr. Alexander Piotrowski, who is proud to be at first front with this pioneering technology in Hessen and to offer the patient the best possible medical care.
