Telekom currently operates 83 locations in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, with a budget coverage of around 98 percent. 37 other locations are to be added by 2025, whereby extensions with LTE or 5G are planned for 41 radio masts. Cooperation with the municipalities or owners is crucial to secure the necessary areas for new locations.

The German radio tower supports Telekom in the construction of the mobile phone locations. Currently over 36,000 mobile communications locations are in operation, and the company is building around 1,500 new locations every year.
