Heavy transport stopped without permission: the police intervene!

On Tuesday morning, September 24th, a heavy transport on Autobahn 67 between Lorsch and Viernheim was controlled by the transport inspection. The van, which was loaded with a huge 33 -ton chain excavator, caught the eye of the police at 7.50 a.m. because it was out without an accompanying vehicle.

For the heavy -weight vehicle combination, which weighed almost 60 tons in total, a special permit was required, but which did not exist. The officers prevented the journey of the team from continuing. Only after a partial discharge and the presentation of a valid permit could the trip continue late in the evening. A fine procedure has been initiated against the driver and the responsible company, and measures to skim off are examined.
