Drug and alcohol controls in Hildesheim: Police crabs hard!

The Hildesheim police inspection carried out extensive traffic controls on the B1 and BAB 39 on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Between 10:45 and 2:00 p.m., the officials posted themselves at the federal road 1 and later from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Autobahn 39. A total of 374 road users were checked, whereby special attention was paid to alcohol and drug influence.

A 39-year-old Hildesheimer noticed at 11:20 a.m. when he was caught with 1.46 per thousand behind the wheel of his van. He not only had to give the driver's license, but was also taken to a hospital to take blood. In total, 34 administrative offenses were found and punished in the course of controls. The police will continue to ensure more safety in road traffic, since alcohol and drug abuse are still among the most common causes of traffic accidents.
