Fighting spirit asked: VfL Gummersbach II meets strong WHV!
VfL Gummersbach II faces a challenging game against Wilhelmshaven HV, which will start on Saturday at 6 p.m. The team, trained by Goncalo Miranda and Jan Schwenzfier, wants to build on the good form from the last home game against Hildesheim. Unfortunately, the team has to do without their player Fanou Ulmerich, who fails with a shoulder injury.
The Wilhelmshaven HV recently performed heavily and after initial difficulties, fourth place in the north-west relay with 13: 3 points. Coach Christian Köhrmann can count on experienced players like René Drechsler, while Matej Kozul has already scored 37 goals this season and is among the best goal scorers in the league. "We are in the outsider role," admits Schwenzfeier, who emphasizes that the team has to hold out both the offensive and the defensive for over 60 minutes in order to be able to survive against this strong opponent. The view is already aimed at upcoming challenges, including home games against the SGSH Dragons and HLZ Ahlen.
