A senior citizen in Ochtersumer Straße was the destination of a supposed waterworks on Wednesday morning. At around 10:50 a.m., a man rang in his door and claimed that there was water damage. After the stranger had gone, the woman became suspicious and turned to a neighbor who immediately informed the police. Such incidents have been piling up recently, with the perpetrators often appear as craftsmen or civil servants to penetrate into apartments.
