Tragedy on the A7: 19-year-old dies in horror accident

A fatal accident on the A7 between the Seesen junction and the Schwalenberg car park called for human life on the night of October 5, 2024. A 19-year-old Audi driver from Northeim drove onto a truck team without braking, which was directed by a 44-year-old man. The Audi wedged under the trailer and then collided with a tractor -trailer on the right lane. The young driver still succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.

The damage is significant, with an estimated total value of around 40,000 euros for the vehicles involved. A subsequent tractor -trailer was also damaged by fallen debris, which resulted in a diesel lane on the road. Around 50 firefighters from Seesen and Rhüden as well as two ambulances and an emergency doctor vehicle were on duty.
