As part of the conference, several workshops and discussion groups took place that aimed to strengthen the intercultural competence of the craft businesses. The question arose how stereotypes can be avoided and a respectful dialogue between employees can be encouraged. The participants developed concepts to promote an open attitude that take into account the ethnic, cultural and biographical background of the employees. It was clear to everyone that fertile cooperation is only possible with understanding and respect.

One of the highlights of the conference was the moving experience report of a master craftsman who told passionate how the cultural diversity strengthens its team: "Our workshop is a reflection of society. Everyone brings their own experiences and perspectives. We have to learn to approach each other and to understand the other." It was such lively reports that underlined the importance of such a meeting and inspired many.

A joint service on Sunday was the end of the conference and offered space for reflection and community. This ceremony was not only perceived as a religious act, but also as a symbol for the cohesion that had grown among the participants. The representatives present felt motivated after the event and had new ideas on how to integrate and develop the diversity in their companies.

The organizers, including Hille de Maeyer, handicraft pastor and co -organizer, as well as Dr. Tobias Roeder, deputy general manager of the LHN, was drawn to a positive conclusion. They emphasized that the importance of such events is not only in the exchange of ideas, but also in the consolidation of mutual understanding in an increasingly diverse society. "The craft is colorful, and that is exactly what makes us so special," said de Maeyer, concluding, and thus confirmed the approach of the conference that goes far beyond the limits of craft.

This conference shows how important it is to actively integrate cultural diversity into everyday work. The participants took the clear order to build bridges between cultures and to understand each other better. The craft is not only perceived as a place of product production, but as a space for courageous encounters and intercultural exchange.
