A 31-year-old man from Georgia was caught on Thursday afternoon how he stole various cosmetic items from a Rossmann branch in the Mühlenanger in Stadtoldendorf. Thanks to the quick intervention by the police and the attentive employee, the thief could be caught and held in the act.
The Stadtoldendorf police station, which was present in the nearby area at the time of the crime, noticed the theft alarm around 12:30 p.m. The man was arrested and further investigations it turned out that he was already looking for similar offenses.
In the car of the thief, which was with a Berlin license plate, the police found additional stolen goods from other branches. Overall, goods in the high, three -digit value range could be ensured.
This fast reaction from the police shows that commercial theft does not fail with impunity. The man was brought to a correctional facility on the basis of a search and must now bear the consequences for his actions.
