On Saturday, March 1, 2025, a top -class concert by the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra took place in the Stadthalle Holzminden. The concert was under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Milton opened and offered an impressive program that included works by Johannes Brahms and Peter Tchaikovsky.

The duo from the soloists Charlotte Thiele (violin) and Friedrich Thiele (cello) contributed significantly to the high musical quality of the evening. Charlotte Thiele, born in Dresden in 2000, will be a concert champion of the Giuseppe-Sinopoli Academy from the 2023/2024 season, while Friedrich Thiele, born in 1996 and award winner of the German Music Competition 2019, has been the first concert champion of the Violoncelli in the Saxon Staatskapelle Dresden.

• The opening took place with the overture to Giuseppe Verdi's "The Power of Fate".
• The program included the double concert for violin, violoncello and orchestra A minor Opus 102 by Johannes Brahms, which was composed in the summer of 1887 on Lake Thun and premiered in Cologne in October of the same year.
• The emotional highlight of the evening was Peter Tchaikovsky's sixth symphony in H minor, known as "Pathétique", which was completed in 1893, just a few days before Tchaikovsky's death. This symphony addresses confidence, love, disappointment as well as death and despair.

The performances were characterized by virtuoso solo massages and instrumental duets, with a violin, which is more than two and a half and a half.
