United on the bike: Successful city cycling event in Holzminden

Holzminden (zir). An impressive result was achieved at this year's city cycling in Holzminden. 674 registered cycling in 69 teams together covered 9,238 trips and were able to save an impressive 21,342.3 kilograms of CO₂. This performance clearly shows the positive influence of a common action for people and the environment.

The city bike was under the motto "United on the bike - your way to climate protection" in order to focus on the importance of environmental protection. Clubs from the Holzminden district were particularly important this year because they were actively called up for participation.

The highlight of the event was the honor of the best individual drivers and teams in the Radhaus on the market. District Administrator Michael Schünemann praised the organization team and all sponsors who made the event possible. "I am grateful for the great work and I am happy to honor the winners today. We are already looking forward to the next year," he emphasized.

The awards went to the best teams and retailers. The team from the Radhaus on the market won in both categories and received certificates and prices for their performance.

In addition to the sporting successes, generous profits were also raffled off to the participants and participating clubs. The commitment of the clubs was rewarded and prize money of a total of 5,000 euros motivated to further environmental protection measures.

The city cycling in Holzminden was not only a sporting competition, but also an opportunity to raise awareness of climate protection. With every cerealed kilometer, the participants actively contributed to reducing CO₂ emissions, and the support of the clubs shows the strong commitment of the community for a better future.

The next city cycling is already planned for June 1 to 21 next year to continue the success story and to inspire even more people for environmental protection.
