Found money cassette in Jena: Who does this puzzling find belong?

on August 2, 2024, around 7:30 p.m., a witness found a cash box on the connecting path between Camburger Straße and Löbstedter Straße. This was stored about 20 meters before the railway underpass and near a petrol station area. Next to the cassette there were several coins and a screwdriver that was probably used to open the cassette. It is unclear whether there is additional cash in the cassette.

The Jena police have so far been unable to connect between the cash register and a crime and are now looking for references to find the owner and clarify possible backgrounds of the discovery. Witnesses who have information about the cash cassette should report on 03641 810 or by email to id.lpi.jena@Polizei.thueringen.de and enter the file number 199338/2024. The search for the rightful owner of the mysterious cassette is in full swing.
