Wanted: witnesses after assault in tram line 5

LPI-J: Witnesses wanted for the raid on the tram

A shocking incident occurred in Jena when an unknown perpetrator attacked a 24-year passenger in the tram line 5. The incident took place on the evening of July 12, 2024 on the route from Lobeda.

The perpetrator, whose identity is currently still unknown, suddenly pounded the victim on the face. The injured passenger then looked for help from a witness at the paradise station before being taken to a local hospital.

The police are now urgently looking for the witness of the paradise station and other people who could have observed the incident. The perpetrator is described as follows:

  • gender: male
  • age: approx. 20 years
  • characteristics: short light brown hair, glasses, short trousers, checkered T-shirt, German phenotype

It is asked to report any information about this case to the Jena police inspection or any other police station. Any hint, even if it appears so small, could be of crucial importance to identify the perpetrator and to be accountable for the crime.
