Violence in the Göschwitz industrial area: Police are looking for witnesses for attack on cyclists

A worrying incident has attracted attention on Saturday evening in the Göschwitz industrial estate in Jena. Two unknown men brutally attacked an older cyclist near the old Göschwitzer Bridge.

The attack took place around 7 p.m., and although a witness alerted the police, both the injured party and the perpetrators disappeared when the officials arrived. Another witness reported that the injured cyclist drove away towards the city center and had significant injuries on the face.

The police describe the victim as 60-70 years old, relatively small, with a 3-day beard, in a blue training suit and on a silver bike. In the course of the search, potential suspects were identified that may be related to the attack.
