Violent incidents in Jena - police urgently searches for witnesses

In the past few days, several violent attacks have occurred in Jena and the surrounding area that the local police puzzled. The population is concerned about the increase in acts of violence in the region.

A 69-year-old man was slightly injured in the Saale-Holzland district on Friday in a traffic accident with an e-lying bike. The accident occurred when an 85-year-old driver overlooked the cyclist. Despite relatively minor injuries, there was considerable damage to property of around 2000 euros.

Another incident occurred on Saturday at 1 a.m. in a park at the Lobdeburg tunnel. A 39-year-old man was attacked by three men and a woman who beat and kicked him. The police investigate because of dangerous bodily harm and urgently ask for evidence of witnesses.

Furthermore, two alcoholic drivers of e-scooters were stopped by the police. A 26-year-old man had a breath alcohol value of 1.30 per thousand, while a driver controlled 3:26 p.m. had a value of 1.54 per thousand. Both drivers had to endure a blood sample.
