Anniversary in the planetarium: Stone Age projector meets modern technology!
The Bad Salzunger Planetarium is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. The old projector "ZKP 1" from Zeiss, which projects the starry sky to the almost eight -meter -tall dome, already has an impressive lifespan of 72 years after it was previously used in Suhl. For two years there has also been a modern projector who enables new programs, including special offers for children, to the entire dome.
For the anniversary there is a free demonstration on Sunday, and the planetarium has a long tradition. It has been part of the Volkshochschule Wartburgkreis since 1994 and offers public demonstrations every two weeks. Responsible Katja Hardtke-Pforr emphasizes that in addition to the regular demonstrations, special events, holiday programs and special offers for schools and kindergartens take place.
