Musical weekend in Jena: from stroke to appreciation!

Lobeda, Deutschland - Jena will be brought to life musically this weekend! On Wednesday, October 30th, the University Hospital will organize a free evening lecture on the occasion of the World Slaughter Day. From 7 p.m., the neurologists Carsten and Caroline Klingner will inform about stroke risks, symptoms and telemedicine in Thuringia. The event takes place hybrid in lecture hall 1 or online without registration.

On Saturday, October 26th, the baroque ensemble Capella Jenensis invites you to a special concert in the St. Michael Church at 4 p.m. Under the motto "Musical competition: two Thuringian capell masters" recovered for the first time, unpublished works of the Thuringian music tradition. There is a musical treasure hunt for children from 4 to 8 years from 3:45 p.m. Music enthusiasts can then look forward to the renowned trumpeter Simon Höfele, who also appears on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Volkshaus Jena. He is the “Artist in Residence” of the Jena Philharmonie and will present Hummel's trumpet concert E-Dur, among other things. Tickets are available in the Jena tourist information or online.
