Accident in Jena: Cyclists of ambulances recorded and reanimated

News from Jena: Cyclists involved in collision with ambulances and e-bikes stolen

In Jena, two unfortunate incidents recently occurred that the local police employ. On the one hand, previously unknown thieves broke into a basement on Ernst-Abbe-Straße and on the grounds of a kindergarten in the western district. With an angle grinder, they cracked the safety locks and stole two valuable e-bikes with a total value of around 6,500 euros. The stolen bikes, an Orbea Pedelec and a black diamond e-lady wheel, were advertised for the search.

At the same time, there was an unfortunate accident between a cyclist and an ambulance on Stadtrodaer Straße. The cyclist ran over a red traffic light while the ambulance was on the road with flashing lights and Martinshorn. The collision was inevitable and the 85-year-old cyclist had to be reanimated on site. He was taken to the hospital seriously injured and the street had to be completely closed for an hour.

Furthermore, a traffic accident occurred on Stadtrodaer Straße when a Peugeot driver disregarded a red traffic light while turning to the highway. He collided with another vehicle that came from Brusselser Straße. Both the Peugeot driver and another person in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and both cars had to be towed.

These incidents once again show the importance of traffic rules and the importance of always acting carefully in road traffic. The local police are committed to the safety of all road users and calls for caution and mutual consideration. - nag
