The bathing lakes in Saxony-Anhalt are currently enjoying top water quality, as the State Office for Consumer Protection (LAV) announced. A number of tests have confirmed that the lakes are free of enterococcal and E. coli bacteria, which means that they can be used without hesitation. Even until the beginning of July there was no bathing bans due to microbiological dirt.

compared to the previous year, when 61 of the 68 EU bathing water was evaluated with "excellent", there is also a consistently high quality this season. Only three of the waters received the classification "sufficient", while four lakes did not receive a classification.

This gratifying message speaks for the excellent care and monitoring of the bathing lakes in Saxony-Anhalt. The optimal water quality not only ensures carefree bathing fun, but also underlines the importance of environmental protection and the responsible handling of natural resources.
