Career in the prison: Find out more on our information days!

Magdeburg. The judiciary of the state of Saxony-Anhalt has started a new initiative to win potential young people: the so-called applicant information days. These days offer interested parties the opportunity to find out more about the two -year training as a judicial officer directly on site. Events are planned in various correctional facilities, including Burg, Halle, Volkstedt and Raßnitz, which give the prospective officials a deep insight into their potential workplaces.

The Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, Franziska Weidinger, emphasizes the importance of these days. "In the applicant information days, interested parties can take a look at their future workplace in the prison," says Weidinger. This practical component is a valuable addition to the usual information formats and allows applicants not only to hear, but also to experience the work environment directly. Experienced employees and candidates who are currently in training are then available for discussions and answer questions on various topics, such as career opportunities or the requirements that are provided to prospective civil servants.

A central feature of the applicant information days is the possibility of visiting the stinces and the judicial vehicles. The interested parties can get an idea of the service clothing and the equipment, such as hand and ankle cuffs or body protection. This practical information is crucial to gain a realistic impression of what the work in the prison system actually means. Particularly exciting for visitors to the Raßnitz youth center: there is the possibility to take a virtual tour of the prison, which is an innovative and modern approach to career orientation.

The applicant information days are not only aimed at individuals; Groups can also register to receive a comprehensive idea of working in the prison. For the institutions in Halle, Volkstedt and Burg, prior registration is required, while the events in Raßnitz can be visited without registration, as they do not take place in the security area.
