Saxony-Anhalt raises coaching salaries: Fair Play for top athletes!

From January 1, 2024, the coaches of the State Sports Association (LSB) Saxony-Anhalt receive a revised remuneration regulations that are based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states. This regulation brings a basic remuneration based on professional qualifications and professional experience, which lies between pay groups 9a and 13 and automatically adapts to new tariff degrees in the future. Minister of Sports Dr. Tamara Zieschang praised the outstanding achievements of the trainers who contribute to the development of sport in Saxony-Anhalt and emphasized that the new regulation set standards nationwide.

for 2024, the state of Saxony-Anhalt provides around 4.27 million euros to remunerate the LSB trainer, and in the household years 2025/2026, around 4.83 million euros are planned. The additional funds increase the financing for the coaching pool by around 1.5 million euros compared to the previous year. This measure is intended to ensure that the coach's salaries correspond to the level of comparable fees after they were on average around 20 percent underneath in the past.
