Armed robbery attempt at Kaiserslautern Central Station: Police switches on!
On October 7, 2024, the federal police were called for a dramatic incident at Kaiserslautern main station at 4:45 p.m. A 32-year-old man threatened a 41-year-old traveler with a kitchen knife and demanded money. The situation escalated when the police arrived and asked the suspects to the task of the knife under the threat of a taser. This finally dropped the approximately 8.5 cm long knife.
The perpetrator was then arrested and a breath alcohol test resulted in an alarming value of 2.74 per thousand. It is now being investigated for attempted robbery and was handed over to the Kaiserslautern criminal service for further investigations.
