Mayor Schulz: ASZ in Kaiserslautern is an indispensable partner!

Pfaffstraße, Kaiserslautern, Deutschland - Mayor Manfred Schulz recently visited the Labor and Social Pedagogical Center (ASZ) in Pfaffstrasse and was convinced of the enormous work that is done there. With around 70 committed employees, the ASZ offers numerous services, including justice -related help for people with fines who can process their punishment through non -profit work. Up to 20 people take part in programs such as wood or sewing workshops every day, and around 70 percent of the approximately 250 annual cases can be solved without court processing, reports www.kaiserslautern.de .

Schulz particularly appreciates the diverse child and youth welfare of the ASZ, which offers students in difficulties and works closely with schools and youth welfare. "The ASZ is an indispensable partner for our city society," says Schulz. The ASZ also ensures the integration of unaccompanied minor refugees and is actively working on living space placement. The facility has played an important role in the city since 1984, whereby it can look back on a long history in criminal aid that extends until the 1950s.
