Leon Hermann: Bronze at the Cadet European Cup in Riga fought for!

Leon Hermann from JSV Kaiserslautern caused a sensation at the Cadet European Cup in Riga! The talented judoka, Schüer at the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium, fought the bronze medal in the category up to 50 kg and thus collected valuable world ranking points. Hermann started with a open -air in the quarter -finals and needed just 15 seconds to force the Italian Matteo Bridi to the task with a quick arm lever. But in the semifinals the Swede Adam Kostoev turned out to be too strong, and Hermann had to give up after a hard fight.

Despite the defeat, Hermann did not open. In the fight for third place, he impressively implemented his skills and secured the victory against the local hero Arsenijs Spinu with precise throws. This not only brought him the bronze medal, but also the applause of his trainer Aydin Kempirbaev. The next scene for Hermann and his club colleague Maxima Zink is the coming weekend in Slovenia at the Koper Cadet European Cup, where further world ranking points are awarded.
