richard Müller : A legacy of the Palatinate dialect poetry

On August 5, 1924, Richard Müller's 100th anniversary of death, an important representative of the Palatinate dialect poetry. Müller, born in Obermoschel, was not only a gifted poet, but also a committed member of his community. His works reflected the life and spirit of the Palatinate Region and contributed to making the dialect poetry in the north Palatinate dialect a cultural heritage.

One of the most striking properties of Müller was his deep connection with his homeland. Through his poems, novella and plays, he set his north Palatinate and Pfälzer Heimat a monument and thus shaped the literary scene of its time. His works, including "the squeeze" and "from de Parrstunn", were recognized beyond the borders of the Palatinate and contributed to the preservation of the North Palatinate dialect.

In addition to his artistic work, Richard Müller was also actively involved in his community. As chairman of the Obermoscheler Military Association and President of the North Palatinate Singers' Association, he took on responsibility and campaigned for cultural life in the region. Even in difficult times, Müller was a pillar of his community and contributed significantly to the promotion of local culture.

The heir Richard Müllers still lives on to this day. His works are preserved by collectors such as Marco Schäfer in Niedermoschel and presented in special exhibitions. The Dean Eugen Rapp also paid tribute to Müller's life and work in its own booklet that emphasizes its importance for the Palatinate literary scene.

The memory evening on August 2 in the Schlundt restaurant is a tribute to the legacy of Richard Müllers. This event is intended to ensure that his contribution to the Palatinate dialect poetry will not be forgotten and that his heir will continue to be estimated in the future.
