Rothselberg has the new local chief: Christian Hemmer takes over the helm!

Christian Hemmer (47) was elected as the new mayor of Rothselberg on Monday evening and succeeds Rainer Mohr, who remains the local council. The administrative business economist, who was not previously active in the local council, has valuable experience from his work at the city of Kaiserslautern. Hemmer, married and father of two children, grew up in Rothselberg and is still involved in the local sports club.

The election had become necessary after there was no candidate for the office in June, since Mohr no longer ran after 15 years. In his new role, Hemmer would first like to get an overview of the community and continue the projects of its predecessor, including the construction of a new children's playground and the renovation of the Selberghalle. The local council also elected Christoph Walg as the new first deputy, while Peter Baumhardt acts as another deputy. The rules of procedure of the council have been changed to enable the election of an additional deputy. Important challenges, such as the renovation of the kindergarten building, are now on the agenda of the new community lead. More information can be found on www.rheinpfalz.de .
