Danger! Fraudsters shaken again in Karlsruhe!
Brazen fraudsters have struck again and lured an 81-year-old senior citizen from Karlsruhe with a so-called "shock call". On Tuesday morning, a caller contacted the woman and pretended to be a judge. He claimed that her son had caused a fatal traffic accident and urgently had to be bought with a safety money. In order to meet her supposed help, the senior citizen drove to the city center, lifted several thousand euros from a bank on Kaiserstrasse and handed the money to an unknown man on Ritterstrasse, near the Baden Landesbibliothek.
The collector of money is described as a slim man, about 20 to 30 years old, with dark, slightly corrugated hair and sporty clothing. The Karlsruhe criminal police are now looking for witnesses who have made suspicious observations in this context. Information is accepted on 0721 666-5555. The police urgently warns of such fraud stitches and asks the population for vigilance, as www.presseportal.de.
