An exciting event expects art lovers worldwide, because the significant private collection of the renowned professor and former head of the Cologne Museum Ludwig, Kasper König, is auctioned. Over 400 modern and contemporary works of art should change the owner, the respected Cologne auction house van Ham announced. An expected total proceeds of several million euros are expected, as a spokeswoman announced.

A highlight of the collection is a date painting of the Japanese artist on Kamara, who died in 2014, which has so far been estimated at a value of 500,000 to 700,000 euros. In addition, the collection includes works by well -known artists such as Sigmar Polke, William Copley, Thomas Bayrle and Richard Arschwager.

The treasures are presented in an exhibition in the renowned auction house in a personally curated exhibition. Those interested in art have the opportunity to visit the works from September 27th to September 30th. The auctions then take place on October 1st and 2nd in several stages.
