Florian Höpfner, a young man who grew up in Mannheim, studied Catholic theology and successfully completed his training as a pastoral officer. His passion for youth work was already awakened in his home community and deepened during his commitment in the pastoral unit Karlsruhe-Hardt. Since September 2023, he has been working as a youth pastor in the youth pastoral team Mittlerer-Oberrhein Pforzheim and takes care of the spiritual development of young people in the region.

As a pastoral consultant, Florian Höpfner is concerned with encouraging young people to actively contribute to the parish. The quote from the Bible, "because two or three are gathered in my name, I am in the middle of them" (Mt 18:20), leads him in his work. His goal is to help shape the church together with volunteers and to maintain personal contact with the young people, even in times of growing community structures.
