Karlsruhe announcement: blocking of the Ludwig-Erhard-Allee for construction work

traffic redirection in Karlsruhe-Ost during roadway renewal

in Karlsruhe-Ost the road users are facing a challenging time, since the Ludwig-Erhard-Allee will be closed out of town for about three weeks because of the renewal of the road cover. This important inner -city street will therefore not be passable, which will lead to considerable traffic impairments.

The construction work takes place on the southern road between the Henriette-Obermüller- and Stuttgarter Straße (to the roundabout). In order to redirect traffic, large -scale diversions are set up via Ettlinger Straße and Kapellenstrasse. This also affects the important approach and exit from the city via the B10, including the Karoline Luise tunnel.

In addition, the passage on the "Oststadtkreisel" will be restricted, which will in particular influence bus line 42. Shops and buildings south of the Ludwig-Erhard-Allee, however, remain available, while in-depth rides and the northern road are not affected by the construction work.

An interesting aspect of the construction measure is the use of low temperature asphalt, which is intended to lead to a more sustainable construction execution. This not only enables the reduction of CO2 emissions, but also improves working conditions on the construction site.

The construction work should be completed by August 18 when the weather is played. It is recommended to observe the diversions and plan alternative routes to avoid delays.
