Karlsruhe clears Baden architecture prize with four awards!
Karlsruhe-Durlach, Deutschland - Karlsruhe shines at the Baden Architecture Prize! At this year's award, which took place in the Erlenbad monastery in Sasbach, four out of a total of ten prizes go to the city. The house 4080, designed by Ulrike Fischer/Linking Architecture, received the price in the residential building category. In the interior design, the material library of the Faculty of Architecture of the Kit of Studio - MRA was awarded. The youth price also went to Karlsruhe: Doreen Brinker, student at KIT, impressed with her master's thesis on the transformation of a historic brewery in Pforzheim and was celebrated for her creativity.
The jury had selected the best projects from 193 applications, whereby the public votes could decide in many categories. Jürgen Grossmann, founder of the price, was pleased with the high number of projects submitted and the increasing interest of the architects. An all-stars Award was awarded to the renowned architect Tadao Ando for his company headquarters. In a year full of outstanding achievements, Karlsruhe was able to prove his building strength again by standing out with innovative and aesthetic designs in the competitive area, reports bnn.de .
