Karlsruhe starts through: circular economy for a green future!

Karlsruhe, Deutschland - Karlsruhe is preparing for the future of the circular economy! The city is currently examining the effects of this future -oriented concept on the climate neutrality in the context of its 2030 climate protection concept. All relevant actors from city administration, business and science as well as their skills are recorded in order to precisely identify the potential of Circular Economy for Karlsruhe.

The city's business development agency actively participates in the community study "City City" of the German Institute for Urban Studies (DIFU). This project aims to support municipalities based on existing political and legal framework conditions as well as knowledge from already active circular economy cities to develop their own strategy. A total of 25 municipalities and two organizations are committed to the “Green Transformation”, with Karlsruhe proudly representing the city and emphasizing the topic in their region.
