Karlsruhe process: Social workers are fighting for their right to silence
In a heated trial at the Karlsruhe district court, three employees of a social work fan project stood in the judiciary of the judiciary. The accused are silent about the accusation of "punishment" in connection with a pyrotechnics campaign in November 2022, which gave eleven people breathing difficulties. Despite a "perpetrator-victim compensation" initiated by those affected, the public prosecutor targeted the project employees after they were referred to their obligation to say, while the defense tried to question the relevance of their knowledge to clarify.
The mood in the courtroom was similar to that on a soccer field when heated word battles between defense and the public prosecutor took place. Lawyer Alexander Schork called to the prosecutor: "Stop blocking here all the time!" The negotiations are ongoing, the next appointment is scheduled for October 28th.
