Sophienstraße becomes a bicycle road: construction work start on Monday!

The city of Karlsruhe announces the conversion of Sophienstraße to the bicycle road! After the blocking for motor vehicle through traffic at Lessingstrasse, the next step will be initiated on October 14, 2024 with the work between Schiller and Reinhold-Frank-Straße. The crossing areas on the Scheffel, Moninger, Lessing- and Hans-Sachs-Straße are redesigned. The aim is to improve the curb systems and reduce the road cross -section in order to increase both the safety for cyclists and to make it easier for pedestrians.
