Electoral repetition in Rastatt: Info tour before the decisive vote!

In the Rastatt districts of Plittersdorf, Niederbühl, Ottersdorf, Wintersdorf and Rauental, the repetition of the local election is imminent - the eligible voters will be called up again on October 20. This measure became necessary after up to 1,000 voters were unable to hand over votes due to a massive postal voting breakdown in June, which led to the invalidity of the elections at that time from the Karlsruhe regional council.

In order to clarify the last questions, the city started an information tour with stands in the affected locations. However, the start in Rauental was rather modest due to bad weather. Nevertheless, the city already recorded 1,700 applications for postal voting by Monday and sees no overall interest. This time the election documents are sent exclusively via the citizens' office, which promises transparency and efficiency that was missing in the last election.
