Kassel visitor remains at a loss: ticket machine eats banknote!

A couple from Thuringia, Hartmut and Karin Bergner, experienced Kassel full of anticipation, but an incident clouds their enthusiasm. During their visit on October 4, they wanted to buy an NVV multiticket at Wilhelmshöhe station. Hartmut stuck a ten-euro note and a 50 cent coin in the ticket machines, but the machine claimed that money was still missing-the ten euros disappeared without a trace! Despite a report in the NVV customer center, feedback is missing. The Bergners have been waiting for an answer for three weeks now.

The North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) confirms that there have been similar problems with the ticket machines during this period. A spokeswoman explains that the case had been forwarded to the Kassel Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (KVG). The machine has now been repaired and the Bergner's money is also being processed. Due to illness cases, however, the refund could take a little longer. The unfortunate tourists wonder where the "happy people" who are supposed to live in Kassel, while their search for a smooth experience remains frustrating.
