The second edition of the Kassel mountain park lamp ended on Sunday with a total of 45,000 tickets sold. Compared to the previous year, when you could take part in free and about 80,000 visitors were counted, this is a clear decline. Around 11,000 guests came on average per event day. Despite the less critical feedback on the traffic situation compared to the previous year, there were still some problems. The Kassel Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (KVG) emphasizes that an additional transport offer was provided in close coordination with the city, but plans to further optimize the concept in order to better include individual traffic.

Kassel's head of tourism Norbert Wett expressed a positive statement about the event and announced that the next mining parking lights should take place closer to the summer vacation in order to benefit from better weather.
