Exciting start: SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach and SV Neuhof in the association league

Preparation for the new season in the North Association has started and two teams face important challenges. The SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach and SV Neuhof have set themselves the task of increasing their achievements and leaving the past season behind. On Saturday, both teams will complete their first point game appearance.

new beginnings and high expectations

The SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach goes to her second year in the association league and competes against the Lichtenau FV at the Hain. Coach Romeo Schäfer describes the current situation of his team as challenging. Despite an impressive preliminary round last season, which brought seventh place, the team is facing a relatively inexperienced team before the competition. "For many, the association league is still an adventure," explains Schäfer. The trainer emphasizes that the players have a lot of potential but now have to prove themselves.

strong opening game for SV Neuhof

The SV Neuhof, however, has made a lot of things for the new season after the previous season ended with a disappointing eleventh place. Trainer Alex Bär states that it is important to form the team into a harmonizing unit. "We didn't have a team that harmonized last season. It looks different this year: it is more fun again," says Bär. The focus is on avoiding the relegation battle and primarily collecting points.

Everything in the first game

The opponents of the opening represent a big challenge for both teams. The SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach meets an established Lichtenau FV, while SV Neuhof competes against the promotion favorite CSC Kassel. Bär describes the opponent as "ripped off" and knows the strengths of the team, which after many years strives to promote the Hessenliga. "This is a really difficult start to the season, which can also be direct," emphasizes Bär.

fight for points

The first games of this season are very important and could influence the course of the entire season. Eiterfelds Schäfer is optimistic, despite the intensive competitive situation. "We were able to collect a lot of insights, even if not everything was positive," the trainer is confident. For Neuhof it will be crucial to expand the strong defensive and to improve the effectiveness in attack.

FAZIT

The first round of the Verbandsliga Nord promises exciting encounters with high use. Both the SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach and SV Neuhof are at a turning point where you have to prove that you have learned from the lessons of last season. It remains to be seen how the two teams will beat on Saturday and whether they can master the challenges.
