New boss for the JVA Kiel: Simone Königs relies on digitization and re -socialization!

Simone Königs is the new head of the Kiel correctional facility! The 42-year-old lawyer takes over the successor of Bernd Gludau, who retired after more than five years. Justice Minister Kerstin von der Kernken praised her in her inauguration as highly qualified and active management that will bring a breath of fresh air to the institution. Königs, a native of Kiel, started her career in Saxony and was previously in various management positions, including as an enforcement manager in the JVA Neumünster.

In her new role, Königs wants to concentrate on digitization and the challenges in dealing with mentally conspicuous prisoners. She also plans to improve the treatment offers in order to promote the re -socialization of the occupants. "The health of the employees is important to me because working with prisoners is demanding," said Königs.
