Pickpiece caught in Neumünster: smartphone robbery thanks to video surveillance!

Neumünster, Deutschland - Yesterday afternoon, the federal police in Neumünster caught two pickpockets that had previously stolen their smartphone and other cards from their jacket pocket in Kiel. The crime occurred on October 17 at 2:15 p.m. when the injured party asked for help immediately after the theft in the Kiel train station and described the perpetrators. However, a first search of the station was unsuccessful.

Thanks to the evaluation of video surveillance, the thieves, an 18-year-old and a 32-year-old Moroccan citizen, could be localized and arrested by train towards Neumünster after their escape. When the two men searched, the stolen smartphone was secured and immediately returned to the injured party. In the further course, the review showed that the 18-year-old was also unauthorized in the federal territory. However, both men were released due to lack of prison reasons after the police measures have been completed and must now answer for theft. The federal police warn for special caution in crowds, since pickpockets often take advantage of the crowds. For more details, See the current reporting on www.presseportal.de .
