Successful season and new faces among the referees in the Sommerhäuser Weinbergen

party mood and recognition at SRG KT/OCH summer festival

The members of the referee group Kitzingen/Ochsenfurt (SRG KT/OCH) recently celebrated a successful summer festival in the idyllic vineyards of Sommerhausen. The Steinmann winery offered the right ambience for a relaxed meeting, in which the referee season ended in a sociable round.

A highlight of the event was the honor of long-standing members, including Wolfgang Korn, who was awarded a referee for his 60 years of work. Korn acquired his referee license six decades ago and is only the third referee in the group who received this special recognition.

In addition to the honors, the focus was also on new additions. Five new referees successfully completed their exams and are now strengthening the SRG KT/OCH team. The group attaches great importance to promoting their youngsters and regularly offers teaching evenings that are visited by around 50 referees.

Vitali Klein, who is not only a teaching attendant in the group, was particularly emphasized, but was also honored as a "referee of the year". His many years of experience and commitment have made a significant contribution to winning the SRG KT/OCH in recent years.

The harmonious cooperation within the board was also recognized, with all members being thanked for their committed commitment. In particular, the support of the newcomers by experienced sponsors was emphasized as an important part of group work.

The summer festival of the SRG KT/OCH was not only an opportunity to celebrate and honors, but also proof of the strong cohesion and the successful development of the referee group. The event underlines the importance of the volunteer work of the referees for football in the region.
