TSV Abtswind is subject to Regensburg: The first loss of away from this season

In the football Bavaria League Nord, TSV Abtswind had to take a bitter defeat last Sunday. For the first time this season, the Abtswinder lost an away game, against SSV Jahn Regensburg II with 2: 3. Assistant coach Mathias Brunun made it clear that the team had already lost the game in the first half.

The abtswinders came into the game with a changed starting line -up after they were subject to Würzburg FV a week ago. Coach Thorsten Götzelmann and Brunsch sent Adrian Dußler and Madaani Seidu into the game to bring a breath of fresh air to the team. But despite these adjustments, the guests in Regensburg caught a new deep blow.

The first minutes as the turning point

The game started unhappily for TSV Abtswind. In the first 15 minutes, the hosts had already developed a 2-0 lead. Brunsch stated that the team had literally overslept the first half and missed putting the necessary train on the opponent. The Regensburgers broke through the defense of the Abtswinder by skilfully playing the ball onto the outer track and thus scored the first two goals.

with the third goal before the half -time break by Björn Fröhlich after a corner, the Situation for Abtswind seemed almost hopeless. At a deficit of 0: 3 into the second half, it was not what the team had done. These first 45 minutes were crucial and cost the Abtswind important points.

After the half -time break, however, another abtswind emerged. The trainer staff decided to switch the system to a 4-4-2 to be more stable. In fact, the team showed a committed appearance. Egor Zelenskiy and Luca Forster now formed the defense together with Franz Arens and Hannes Bauer and ensured more stability. Matthias Wächter's substitution brought a fresh wind and helped the guests to shorten to 1: 3.

opportunities, but no reward

Despite a dismissal for the Regensburg in the 51st minute, which caused the Jahn reserve to play outnumbered, the TSV did not succeed in consistently exploiting this majority. The Abtswinder dominated the game and had more possession of the ball, but the dangerous scores remained in short supply. Brunsch found frustrated that it was a shame that the team did not successfully complete in the last third.

The Abtswinder were able to breathe a sigh of relief when Jonas Enzmann scored the connecting goal in added time and the game ended 2: 3. But at this point it was already too late to achieve the balance. Abtswind is now in ninth place in the middle of the table, with four wins, four defeats and two draws.

On Friday, September 13th, there is an important game against the league leader ATSV Erlangen for the Abtswinder, and the team is challenged to learn from their mistakes and find it back into the success.

In a game that the abtswinders should not only remember as lost points, but also as an important lesson, it is now important to draw the right conclusions and maintain the fighting spirit in the upcoming encounters.
