TSV Iphofen mourns honorary member Lore Baunach (98)
The gymnastics and sports club Iphofen mourns the loss of his honorary member Lore Baunach, who died in the proud age of 98. Lore Baunach, a pioneer in the club, had contributed significantly to the foundation of the gymnastics department and had been active as head of a children's gymnastics group since 1966. Every day she made her way to Iphofen from her place of residence from her home in Mainbernheim to look after the children with joy and commitment.
The first women's gymnastics group was created under her leadership in 1967, and she was a pioneer in numerous areas of gymnastics. From 1967 to 1990 she directed the parent-child gymnastics and gymnastics for the little ones. Lore Baunach saw the "most valuable credit of every club" in the children and campaigned for comprehensive care from baby to senior citizen. Their merits were honored with the appointment as an honorary member of TSV Iphofen and the golden district spell of the district of Kitzingen.
