The nine cities and municipalities in the district of Kitzingen can be happy to receive a total of 4.8 million euros. These funds come from the federal-state city development programs "social cohesion" and "living centers" and are intended to support numerous projects for upgrading and designing the region.

Dettelbach receives 904,000 euros for the renovation of public places and buildings such as the market and Bachhaus. IPHOFEN is also planning to implement a signage concept in the old town and the construction of a relief parking lot.

The municipality of Mainbernheim can implement various measures with over one million euros, including the redesign of the city entrance north and the creation of new open spaces. Both in Sulzfeld and in Mönchsondheim, historical buildings such as the prison tower and the church castle are renovated with the funding.
