Change in the Stadelschwarzach kindergarten: New carrier from 2025!

From January 1, 2025, the kindergarten in Stadelschwarzach will no longer be led by the Johannisverein, but by the Elisabethenheimverein Würzburg. This decision was made unanimously by the 25 members present during an extraordinary meeting. The Johannisverein will work as a support association in the future and take on supporting tasks. In the facility, 60 children are currently visiting the crib to homework supervision. According to Marion Hofmann, the previous chairman of the Johannisverein, the challenges of voluntary management were the main reason for this change.

The school building in question belongs to the church foundation, and during the meeting it was indicated that there were already discussions between the city of Prichsenstadt and the church about financial aspects such as leasehold and rent. Pastor Matthias Eller signaled that one was ready to negotiate with the municipality. Mayor René Schlehr confirmed the striving for the city to continue to operate the kindergarten. A new board was elected for the Johannisverein, with Karl Treptow as chairman, Claudia Kern as deputy and Johanna Gerlach as treasurer.
