Meaning jungtier inspires zoo visitors in Kleve!
In the Kleve zoo, there is reason to be happy: On September 7th, a new meerkat boy was born! Tiergarten director Martin Polotzek is happy about the second offspring this year. The little animal, which was born blind and deaf as a nest stool, spent the first few weeks together with his siblings in the throwing cave. Now it has become braver and explores the outdoor area. Visitors can observe the cute young animal, which is perfectly looked after by the growing male family, during the autumn holidays.
The meerkats originally come from southern Africa and form highly social family associations. In Kleve, the young animal is now ready to conquer the hearts of the zoo visitors. In addition to the meerkats, guests can look forward to sloth Carlo and free backstream. The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Halloweenfest on October 31 is also in the planning.
