A promising start to the new season has succeeded in TTV Rees-Groin in the NRW league. In the first game, the team met SuS Oberaden and secured the first victory with an impressive 9-2 victory. Another strong result followed: a 9: 5 victory against SC Union Lüdinghausen. Team leader Jörn Franken could not hide his joy about the successful start of the season. "Of course we are happy to have brought the four points straight away," he said after the two encounters.
The reeser was once again particularly outstanding, which won all three double competitions right at the beginning of the first game against Oberaden. Cedric Görtz and Jörn Franken, Carsten Franken and Simon Jansen as well as Marcel Karst and Sascha Bußhoff prevailed and laid the foundation for later success. In the subsequent individual games, the Reeser continued to dominate, even if the matches were sometimes intensively competitive. Only Cedric Görtz had to give up twice, while Carsten Franken, the new player Marcel Karst, Jörn Franken, Sascha Bußhoff and Simon Jansen contributed further points. TTV supervisor Ulrich Wiedenhaupt stated: "The game was a little narrower than ultimately the result."
