Last week, the authorities in Koblenz, Lahnstein and in the district of Mayen-Koblenz and Rhein-Lahn-Kreis carried out control measures to combat red light crime. These measures are part of a comprehensive approach to increase security in the Region and to combat violations of the law.
The police headquarters Koblenz, the responsible city and district administrations, the main customs office and the Koblenz tax office were involved in the controls carried out. A total of 25 people were checked in seven objects of housing prostitution. These measures resulted in several evidence of violations of the prostitution law and the state building regulations, which led to the initiation of four criminal proceedings due to violations of foreign law provisions. It is important that the authorities carry out these controls in order to maintain security and order in the region. The cooperative approach of the authorities effectively combat crimes and administrative offenses and at the same time provide help for possible victims.
