Bad Ems, Deutschland - The Lahntalbahn between Bad Ems and Nassau will be closed from November 25, 2024 to April 3, 2025! The reason is urgently needed modernization work from Deutsche Bahn. During this comprehensive construction phase, the railway ensures a replacement offer: Express buses will run between Koblenz and Limburg, and additional buses commute from Nassau to Bad Ems to Koblenz Central Station.

Overall, Deutsche Bahn invests around 36 million euros in the renewal of railway overpasses in Bad Ems and Nassau as well as the Bad Ems traffic station. This important rail connection extends over 104 kilometers and is particularly important for commuters and students. The railway also took into account the wishes of the region: Although a connection between the Bad Ems West station is not possible between November 25 and January 9, from January 9th until the final blocking period will be set up temporary access to this train station, which is particularly beneficial to the students who want to reach the Bad Ems school center.
