Paddle fun in Vallendar: Canoe clubs experience successful house round

Vallendar. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, the FWV Vallendar experienced a special event. The association had invited its paddle fans from a wide variety of canoeing clubs of the Rhineland Canoe Association to an informative and exciting "house round". Among the participants were canoeists from Post SV Koblenz, VfL Brohl, WSV Remagen and Neuwied. This was an excellent opportunity for the participants to explore the fascinating island round, which the Vallendar canoe pioneers paddle regularly.

After a short but inspiring address of the organizer, who praised the team spirit and the community, 25 paddling -loving participants went on their trip. They followed a well -prepared route that led down the Rhine between the picturesque island of Niederwerth and Graswerth. The group was accompanied by a local guide, which made the experience even more valuable.

challenges on the water

The journey was not only a pleasure, but also presented the canoeists with real challenges. The section that ended on the red food and led on the way back to the southern tip of the island was particularly remarkable. Paddling against the strong stream of the Rhine proved to be an intensive test for the fitness and the fighting spirit of the participants. Many had to reorient themselves after they were abolished by the current. Nevertheless, the determined will not to give up the "fight" was clearly felt. The participants were determined to master their challenge and not to be afraid to cope with the route without killing them on land.

After a strenuous but fulfilling day, all canoeists returned happily and exhausted to the boathouse. There was a spacious cake buffet, sausages and a selection of cold drinks and coffee to spoil the tired paddlers. The atmosphere was warm, and it was chatted extensively on the benches in front of the boathouse or in the cool boat hall. This conviviality shows how important a feeling of community and cohesion within the canoe associations is.

Continue a success model

The "house round" was undoubtedly a great success that celebrated the cohesion and joy of canoeing. A repetition of such an event by other clubs next year will be warmly welcomed by many participants. It is obvious that such meetings not only strengthen the sporting but also friendly exchange among the clubs. Canoeing is not just a sport; It is a way to create shared experiences that will be remembered for a long time.
